Description

Exposición dividida en dos partes: presentación del mismo vídeo llamado ‘Identifications’ (que reunía los trabajos de veinte artistas) en Kunstverein al mismo tiempo que se emitía el programa de televisión que tenía el mismo nombre.

En el vídeo, la intervención específica de Daniel Buren para el programa de televisión consistió en simular (en la mitad de éste y tras haberse anunciado su nombre) una interferencia en la pantalla seguida de la aparición estática, durante 48 segundos, de una imagen utilizada generalmente por la cadena cuando se produce un incidente técnico, mencionando la palabra “Störung” (Interrupción). Tras esos 48 segundos, el programa siguió su curso.

Los técnicos de la cadena de televisión, al no haberles avisado, manifestaron su descontento por lo que parecía haber sido un “error” por el que se les podría culpar.

Los telespectadores no percibieron el trabajo del artista ya que consideraron que la interrupción fue un incidente que evitó que vieran la obra, pero no la obra artística en sí misma.

En el vídeo, la intervención específica de Daniel Buren para el programa de televisión consistió en simular (en la mitad de éste y tras haberse anunciado su nombre) una interferencia  en la pantalla seguida de la aparición estática, durante 48 segundos, de una imagen utilizada generalmente por la cadena cuando se produce un incidente técnico, mencionando la palabra “Störung” (Interrupción). Tras esos 48 segundos, el programa siguió su curso.

Los técnicos de la cadena de televisión, al no haberles avisado, manifestaron su descontento por lo que parecía haber sido un “error” por el que se les podría culpar.

Los telespectadores no percibieron el trabajo del artista ya que consideraron que la interrupción fue un incidente que evitó que vieran la obra, pero no la obra artística en sí misma.",
