Description

During one week, in approximately a hundred Paris Metro stations, the top right corner of publicity panels called "Metro Hebdo", normally reserved for announcing performances, shows, exhibitions, which are located along the platforms, were covered over with a panel of blue and white striped paper.

The work, ephemeral and anonymous, was repeated from one station to the next; one iteration of the work being part of a whole which could only be grasped mentally and necessarily only seen divided into separate pieces.

The panel was installed by the billboard publicity company Metrobus, at night, and repeated in the majority of these stations in 1973 with another color (orange) and a different placement.

Two books document these works: Légende Tome I, Légende Tome II, published by Warehouse Press, London, in June 1973.
