Description
Exhibition of the work in two time segments: the first fifteen days: a painting on blue and white striped cloth; the last fifteen days: a painting on white and red striped cloth, whose last two white stripes at each edge of each work were painted over with white paint on both the front and back sides.
Each cloth was hung inside the gallery on mounts directly in front of the display window looking out onto the street, from where it looked like a painting under glass.
Three considerations concerning the appearance of the work:
. in the space - from inside or from the outside of the gallery -,
. in time - whether the gallery is open or closed and whether the gallery is displaying the blue and white striped work or the red and white striped one.
. the opaque or transparent appearance of the white paint covering the last two white stripes at each edge, depending on its visibility from the interior or the exterior when the gallery was lit.
