Painting is part of a unit of 20 works dating from 1966 to 1977, having belonged to the collector Marc Martin-Malburet, conceived in December 1995, as a new inseparable collective work, installed on two walls facing each other, on the occasion of the Exhibit "Passions privées", at the Musée d'art moderne de la Ville de Paris.
Since the reopening of the museum after remodeling, in 2006, the twenty works are presented on one single wall opposite "La Danse", 1931-1933, by Matisse.
