Description

This is one wall entirely covered with striped paper. In the middle of the wall, a square is cut out of the wallpaper, then reversed, the back side now in facing out, and reaffixed so that the colored and white stripes (discreetely visible through the slightly transparent paper) are correctly aligned and follow the same pattern and spacing as the rest of the wallpaper.


Historique
• April 23, 1989, publoic sale, Poulain/La Fur/Cornette de St. Cyr, "Les Artistes solidaires de la Ville de Nimes", lot no. 72. Gift of the artist to benefit the repair of the Marguerite Long School following the floods in the city Of Nime, in 1988. Bought by the directors who donated it to the 'Carré d’Art.'
