No sponsoring gallery, with the help fo Elyse and Stanley Grinstein, white and blue striped paper was affixed to the backs of the benches in about fifty bus stops located around the city. The paper was affixed with the colored side out; in addition, for about half the benches, the paper was also affixed with the back side out.
The public was informed of the installation by printed invitation and anonymous announcements in the local newspapers indicating the places where the work could be seen.
